Position Overview
We are seeking an Agricultural Finance Specialist to join our team at The Callaway Bank. This role, under the guidance of the Regional Market President, is pivotal in the origination, assessment, and finalization of both secured and unsecured agricultural and commercial financing solutions, adhering to our established lending standards and protocols. Additionally, the position emphasizes the importance of fostering and nurturing strong relationships with both current and prospective clients, as well as collaborating with other financial entities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Oversee and evaluate overdue loans, pinpointing problematic or delinquent accounts.
  • Engage in the provision of credit to agricultural and commercial loan clients.
  • Process and assess loan applications; gather credit information, banking references, and conduct necessary inspections and appraisals.
  • Analyze customer requests for credit lines or extensions; authorize or recommend approvals based on established criteria.
  • Lead and participate in the finalization of sanctioned agricultural and commercial loan agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Implement and maintain an active outreach program for the existing customer portfolio, delivering essential banking services such as loans, deposits, and investment opportunities.
  • Identify and manage referral opportunities within the bank for cross-selling additional services.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, demonstrated through effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Previous sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience in lending is advantageous.
  • Possess analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
