We are seeking an Agricultural Finance Specialist to join our team at The Callaway Bank. Reporting to the Regional Market President, this role focuses on the origination, assessment, and finalization of both secured and unsecured agricultural and commercial loans, adhering to established lending standards, policies, and procedures. This position also emphasizes the importance of fostering and sustaining positive relationships with both current and prospective clients, as well as collaborating with other financial institutions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Regularly assess and review overdue loans, identifying problematic or delinquent accounts.
  • Engage in the credit extension process for agricultural and/or commercial loan clients.
  • Evaluate loan applications; gather credit information, banking references, and conduct necessary inspections.
  • Analyze and assess customer applications for credit lines or extensions; approve or recommend applications based on established criteria.
  • Oversee and participate in the finalization of sanctioned agricultural and/or commercial loan agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Develop and maintain a proactive outreach program for the existing customer portfolio, providing essential banking services such as loans, deposits, and investment opportunities.
  • Identify and manage referrals for additional banking services, promoting cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
  • Previous sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience in lending is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
