Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage invoices for timely payments.
  • Ensure invoices are accurately coded and assign codes as necessary.
  • Facilitate the approval process for invoices.
  • Record all invoices promptly in the accounting system.
  • Generate weekly checks for payable accounts.
  • Maintain organized filing of all paid vendor invoices.
  • Prepare cash flow requirements as requested by management.
  • Keep track of all open purchase orders and verify their accuracy.
  • Investigate discrepancies related to overdue invoices.
  • Resolve outstanding credit issues with vendors.
  • Maintain up-to-date reconciliation of vendor statements.
  • Prepare month-end accruals for payables as necessary.
  • Manage vendor master files, ensuring all information, including 1099 details, is current.
  • Oversee month-end procedures to generate necessary reports and ensure the accounts payable system is balanced.
  • Assist in training and developing accounting staff.
  • Participate in cross-training for cash, payroll, and income audit responsibilities.
  • Perform additional accounting duties as directed by the Controller or Assistant Director of Finance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business with a focus on Accounting is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field is required.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Relevant coursework in a related field is beneficial.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role require the employee to sit for extended periods and utilize hands for various tasks. Frequent communication is necessary, and occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds may be required. Vision abilities must include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Compensation: $24 - $28 per hour, based on experience.

The provided pay scale is a range that Omni Hotels & Resorts anticipates offering. Actual compensation may vary based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
