Division Director of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Division Director to lead our Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery Division. As a key member of our Department of Surgery, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and administrative aspects of the division, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes and performance in all clinical programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the division of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, ensuring high-quality outcomes and performance in all clinical programs.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the growth and development of the division.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, staff, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Oversee the development and implementation of quality infrastructure, including decision tools, clinical protocols, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to leverage individual and team strengths and achieve shared goals.
- Experience in leadership, quality, and operations for a cardiovascular and thoracic service.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to effectively operate in a complex environment.
- High energy and enthusiasm balanced with a highly professional demeanor and strong executive presence.
- Experience in facilitating and coordinating physician alignment activities, including building strong relationships internally and externally.
- Outstanding clinical experience with understanding of the clinical enterprise and patient care delivery process.
- Knowledge of and experience developing quality infrastructure, including decision tools, clinical protocols, and guidelines.
- Working knowledge of information technology and medical informatics with a track record of introducing technology into clinical practice.
