Job Title: Foreman

As a Foreman at Pulice Construction, Inc., you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of our MOT crew department. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervise and mentor employees to ensure they meet company policies and procedures.
  • Complete and submit required documents, such as DRA, JHA, and Weekly Jobsite Inspection sheets.
  • Coordinate the work of assigned crews to meet daily schedules and production targets.
  • Understand and adjust daily work to meet production schedules.
  • Perform daily forecasts of crew costs and production rates, and report to the Superintendent as required.
  • Coordinate the on-site management of manpower, materials, and equipment.
  • Request materials needed for scope of work.
  • Read, understand, and interpret plans and specifications as required, and check work according to specifications.
  • Maintain a high level of safety and adherence to all safety policies and procedures for craft personnel and subcontractors.
  • Present safety topics at meetings as required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of local union or prevailing wage rules.
  • Ensure workers are fully qualified to perform assigned duties.
  • Coordinate subcontractors on-site.
  • Support published corporate policies.
  • Perform additional assignments as directed by management.
Requirements:
  • Must have experience in highway and TxDOT construction.
  • Experience in equipment management and subcontractor coordination.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability and willingness to work weekends and night shifts as required.
