Quality Technician Job Description

Hyspan Precision Products, a 100% employee-owned company, offers a unique opportunity for a Quality Technician to join our team. As a Quality Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure product quality and compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
  • Develop and maintain process checklists and coordinate quality inspections with welders and test personnel.
  • Document control of inbound materials and maintain material traceability for each production order.
  • Monitor and maintain the O2 and cryogenic cleaning system and ensure proper cleaning agent levels.
  • Support personnel in completing visual inspections, non-destructive tests, and pressure tests on hose products.
  • Correct any deficiencies or corrections required in the product process flow.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and reading comprehension skills.
  • Ability to read blueprints and establish an ordered method of assembly.
  • Knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, arc, and oxy-fuel welding.
  • Knowledge of industry testing standards and codes, including ASME, AWS, and certifications to ANT-TC-1A for non-destructive testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certified weld inspection.
  • SNT-TC-1A Non-destructive testing (Liquid Penetrant Testing).
  • Liquid Oxygen Safety Training and Product Cleaning.
  • ASNT - Helium Leak Detection.
