Position Overview for the Solar Project Engineer:
  • Oversee the utility design team in the creation of large-scale solar energy initiatives.
  • Work alongside colleagues to generate site layouts, engineering & construction schematics, and specifications for Utility Scale Solar PV installations.
  • Assist in the ongoing enhancement of solar engineering protocols and methodologies, while remaining informed about industry regulations and standards.
  • Employ various drafting and design software to create both 2D and 3D models, including but not limited to: AutoDesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other CADD applications.
Required Skills for the Solar Project Engineer:
  • Proven experience in designing and drafting both 2D and 3D models utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D or AutoCAD, or other CADD software.
  • Expertise in civil design & site layout using Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley MicroStation.
  • An Associate's degree or certification in Engineering Design, Drafting, or a related field is preferred, along with eight or more years of relevant professional experience.
