As an Automotive & Transmission Specialist, you will be an integral part of a comprehensive vehicle repair facility, handling a wide range of tasks from routine maintenance to complex transmission and electrical diagnostics. This role requires clear communication of technical assessments and necessary repairs to fellow service personnel and team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Conduct thorough inspections, diagnose, and repair various automotive systems including engines, transmissions, drivetrain, brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, steering, suspension, alignment, fuel ignition, electrical, air conditioning, and computer systems.
· Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing transmission issues, including TCM, PCM, solenoids, and electrical malfunctions.
· Collaborate with other technicians to assist in executing technical tasks.
· Clearly articulate issues identified during vehicle inspections to service writers and technicians.
· Engage in continuous learning of new technical information, tools, equipment, and repair methodologies.
· Accurately document findings to ensure precise repair cost estimations.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license.
· Own professional-grade tools suitable for general repair tasks.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Capability to work collaboratively with others as well as independently.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Punctuality and a consistently positive attitude are essential.
· Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment, including scanners, electrical diagnostic tools, AC recovery equipment, fluid exchange systems, lift operation, and alignment tools.
· Enhanced compensation available for ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications.
