Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Technology Operations team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mission-critical deployments, both on-premise and in the cloud. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our team's policies and implementation strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-line support for our mission-critical deployments, ensuring best-in-class service quality and issue resolution.
- Work in both on-premise DoD environments and AWS cloud environments, leveraging your expertise to optimize system performance and security.
- Contribute to the development of solutions that enhance stability, performance, and security of our deployments, improving the overall experience of deploying and managing Onebrief.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure efficient and secure development and operations.
- 3+ years of experience as a trained and experienced SRE engineer, automating software delivery and deployment, and providing documentation and self-service tools to engineering teams and customers.
- Active security clearance and familiarity with the DoD IT environment, with first-hand experience managing mission-critical systems inside DoD's air-gapped networks.
- Experience working in DoD on-premise environments and AWS cloud environments, with a strong understanding of Linux, containers, virtual machines, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in using VMWare, Docker, Helm, Ansible, and Terraform, with experience setting up backups, logging, and alerting at various layers of the OSI model.
- Strong understanding of incident response processes and root cause analysis, with the ability to operate in air-gapped environments with limited tools and little external help.
- Security+ certification or another DoD 8570.01 approved security certificate.
- U.S. citizenship.
