Computational Biologist, Single Cell Genomics, NYGC

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic computational biologist to join our team at the New York Genome Center. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for developing new statistical methods and software for the analysis of single cell datasets.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement computational methods for single-cell genomics data analysis
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of open-source software packages
- Collaborate with researchers to analyze and interpret genomic data
- Assist in the management of lab servers and computational infrastructure
- Document and present research findings to lab members and external collaborators
- BS or MS degree in bioinformatics, computer science, biology, or a related field
- Excellent programming skills in languages such as R, Python, and BASH
- Experience working in a Linux environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Training in statistics or machine learning is a plus
