Help us reduce health disparities, foster population youth mental and behavioral health, and diversify our team The Department of Pediatrics at UVA Health School of Medicine is seeking two (2) full-time faculty psychologists in Pediatric Psychology and Behavioral Health to provide integrated behavioral health services in general pediatrics. Rank, track and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with psychologists and pediatricians across three (3) pediatric and one (1) adolescent medicine primary care clinics to develop a robust integrated primary care program for diverse patient populations in Charlottesville and surrounding communities Screening and assessment for mental health concerns in the primary care setting Conducting culturally informed brief, targeted behavioral health interventions in the primary care setting Providing consultation to medical and interprofessional teams Teaching medical fellows, residents, and medical students Participation in departmental and health system committees and continuing education offerings

Candidates must have training in clinical child and pediatric psychology, and post-doctoral experience in pediatric integrated primary care is preferred.

UVA Pediatric Psychology and Behavioral Health provides clinical service for the broader Department of Pediatrics and UVA Health Children’s Hospital. The Section currently is comprised of six pediatric and child clinical psychologists and is rapidly expanding with expectations to double in the next year. This presents us with a remarkable opportunity to expand the diversity of our team. The psychologists work closely with pediatrician colleagues, fellows, nurse practitioners, nurses, and multi-disciplined allied health staff. The Department of Pediatrics is an extremely collegial and collaborative department with a strong commitment to DEIB, and our pediatric psychologists and pediatrician colleagues have outstanding working relationships with providers in the community as well as with other pediatric subspecialists and colleagues in other areas of the UVA Health System.

The University of Virginia Medical Center and Children's Hospital are located adjacent to the main university grounds of the University of Virginia.
