We are seeking a highly skilled Skilled Services Coordinator to join our team at Hudson Elms Nursing Home.

About the Role

This is a Full-Time position responsible for coordinating and monitoring Medicare, Managed Care, and Medicaid revenue at the facility. The successful candidate will ensure residents receive optimal skilled services to meet their needs for independent function and potential discharge to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate in Weekend On-Call Rotation: Assist with medication administration in emergencies and provide support during the weekend on-call rotation.
  2. Education and Training: Provide education and assistance to facilities on Medicare/Medicaid-related areas, including eligibility, certification, coverage, documentation, utilization, and reimbursement.
  3. Coordination and Compliance: Interact with Medicare, Managed Care, and Medicaid claims review units and compliance units to assist facilities in complying with company procedures and federal, state, and local regulations.
  4. Monitoring and Quality Assurance: Complete and assess compliance with Medicare, Managed Care, and Medicaid and third-party payer procedures. Establish systems and programs to correct non-compliance situations.
  5. Financial Management: Monitor and identify utilization issues. Establish systems to maximize utilization and reimbursement.
  6. Training and Development: Provide ongoing orientation and training to appropriate facility staff regarding Medicare, Managed Care, and Medicaid and other contracted third-party payers.
  7. Meetings and Committees: Coordinate, facilitate, and attend meetings, as well as participate in committees as assigned.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in Medicare/Medicaid areas in long-term care or clinical training.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills in individual and group settings.
  • Able to maintain regular attendance and available for travel, including overnight travel as required.
  • Possess working knowledge of MDS 3.0, care plans, care guides, and the CMI reimbursement process.
Estimated Salary Range

$85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
