Position Overview
The Transportation Compliance & Asset Coordinator will work closely with the Transportation Manager, responsible for reporting key metrics to central office and business unit leaders. This role emphasizes customer service and data management, operating from our designated facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and report on fines, penalties, inspections, condition reports, on-time performance, hours worked, missed stops, and other critical bulk metrics.
- Manage IFTA fuel tax reporting, including:
- Quarterly IFTA reports
- Quarterly filings for NY, KY, and Comdata
- Quarterly trip reports
- Support truck registration processes
- Oversee rolling stock inventory management
- Compile monthly tractor leasing reports
- Facilitate onsite fuel processing and manage fuel delivery documentation
- Process fuel reports for multiple facilities
- Handle permit renewals and track hours of service
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a transportation department within a trucking company, focusing on hazardous material permits, vehicle licensing, and driver ELD systems.
- Proven track record of excellence in customer service, particularly in communication.
- Experience in scheduling within a dynamic, client-focused environment in transportation, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with various offsite locations to gather information and respond to inquiries professionally and promptly.
- Proficient in operating office equipment, including personal computers, email, scanners, and specialized business software. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ELD platforms is essential.
- High level of professional integrity, with experience handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
