Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Solar Power Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of solar power projects, from pre-construction to post-completion.

You will work closely with internal stakeholders, including construction, finance, and external partners such as off-takers, utilities, and government agencies to drive project success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing solar power systems, including structural and electrical layouts.
  • Preparing engineering scope of work, RFPs, cost estimates, and bid packages for solar PV, ground mount, carport, and utility-scale projects.
  • Reviewing EPC contracts, equipment specifications, warranties, and other technical documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate project records, tracking progress, and identifying potential risks or issues.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • NABCEP Associate Photovoltaic Certification or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in solar power development, C&I renewables, real estate project management, or related clean energy infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with ISO-NE, NYISO, and/or North East AHJ regulations.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, or Helioscope.
