About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Washington. As a key member of our gastroenterology team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our experienced gastroenterologists, and contribute to the growth and development of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced level of nursing evaluation, clinical assessment, prescribing, and monitoring medications and follow-up care for patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to address disease prevention and health promotion issues.
  • Collaborate with members of the medical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments, order lab and diagnostic tests, and interpret test results.
  • Educate patients and families about preventive care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatments and medications.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records.
Requirements
  • ARNP license in the State of Washington or ability to obtain by start date.
  • ANCC/AANP certification (ANP-Adult Nurse Practitioner, ARNP-Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, FNP-Family Nurse Practitioner, or GNP-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner).
  • One year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
