Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Supervisor to join our team at Harrah's Resort Southern California. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily tasks of the front desk, bell desk, Valet, and PBX teams, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction and quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the front desk, bell desk, Valet, and PBX teams to achieve high levels of guest satisfaction and quality service.
  • Assist with scheduling staff in accordance with business demands and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet guest needs.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to employees to enhance their skills and knowledge, promoting a positive and fun working environment.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of performance, ensuring compliance with policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner, taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Perform other managerial duties as deemed appropriate by management.
Requirements
  • College degree in Hotel or Business Management preferred.
  • High School diploma and/or equivalency required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in front desk operations and a minimum of one year's experience in guest service/Valet operations in a large hotel within the local market and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate in English clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and complete work logically and independently.
  • Possess well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance.
  • Ability to receive instructions and hear inquiries from guests, clients, or staff, and remain calm during emergency situations.
  • Superior customer service skills and experience in dealing with the public required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, and LMS/CMS system knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to compile facts and figures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
  • Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
