Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require a high degree of independent judgment and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform imaging, non-imaging, function studies, and therapeutic exams according to established departmental protocols.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and maintain accurate records of doses distributed to patients.
  • Operate and maintain auxiliary equipment necessary for procedures, including imaging and computer systems.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure patient satisfaction and safety.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program.
  • 1-year nuclear medicine experience.
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB registry.
  • CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered.
  • SCSQRSA License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience on Philips equipment.
  • Spect/CT experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
  • Proficient computer skills (database).
  • Data entry.
  • Mathematical skills.
  • Strong background in physics/chemistry.

Work Environment

This position is located at the Laurens County Medical Campus and requires a Day shift schedule.
