Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases using radionuclides. Your expertise will be essential in performing a variety of technical procedures, including imaging, non-imaging, and function studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional patient care and ensure the safety of patients during procedures.
  • Administer radionuclides and prepare patients for imaging and non-imaging studies.
  • Operate and maintain auxiliary equipment necessary for procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Prepare and administer interventional pharmacologic agents as directed by protocol.
  • Perform quality control checks on instrumentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulations.
  • Participate in proctorship responsibilities, including instructing students and mentoring new hires.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology school.
  • 1-year nuclear medicine experience.
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB registry.
  • CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered.
  • SCSQRSA License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ARRT in Radiology.
  • Experience on Philips equipment.
  • Spect/CT experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier).
  • Proficient computer skills (database).
  • Data entry.
  • Mathematical skills.
  • Strong background in physics/chemistry.
  • Radiation safety equipment.
