Waste Oil Collection Driver

Job Summary: Drive a route sales vehicle to collect and transport waste oil, develop customer relationships, and sell service and product offerings in the industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Service existing and new accounts by providing exceptional customer experiences.
  • Comply with governing authorities, State, Federal, DOT, and EPA regulations through proper documentation.
  • Transport waste oil collections and deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Routinely engage in the sale of service and product offerings.
  • Build and manage customer relationships and prospects through effective communication.
  • Sample, test, and measure collected products and materials accurately.
  • Maintain basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for daily tasks.
  • Possess a valid CDL and Tanker Endorsement for safe operations.


Requirements:
  • A Class A or B CDL and Tanker Endorsement with a good driving record is required.
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and people-oriented individual.
  • Experience in petroleum-chemical product recovery/delivery is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of petroleum and lubricant products is necessary.
  • A GED, High School diploma, or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Prior experience in route-based sales/service is preferred.
  • The ability to cross-train and work independently as well as part of a team is essential.
  • Able to meet DOT physical and drug screen requirements.


Minimum Driver Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years or more of verifiable experience with a commercial license is required.
  • The driver must be at least 24 years old.
  • No DUI or DWI convictions within the past 10 years.
  • A current DOT physical is mandatory.
  • A pre-employment Background and DOT drug test must be passed.
  • A valid CDL A or B and Tanker Endorsements are required.


Physical Requirements:
  • The ability to carry, lift, pull, or push 50 pounds or more is required.
  • Regularly reach, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and stoop.
  • Climb on trucks/trailers, storage tanks, etc. using ladders, hand rails, and fall protection equipment.
  • Work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.


Education:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.


License:
  • A valid CDL Class A or B is required.
