Job Summary

The Psychiatric Emergency Clinician is a vital member of our crisis stabilization team, providing expert care and support to individuals in need. As a seasoned mental health professional, you will conduct thorough assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, and work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our members served.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of members served, including initial evaluations and ongoing re-evaluations as needed
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each member served
  • Collaborate with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication
  • Provide education and support to members served and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery
  • Participate in daily team rounds and contribute to the development of our crisis stabilization program
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Two years of direct service experience in a behavioral health setting, with a focus on crisis intervention and stabilization
  • Strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced crisis environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certification, with the ability to maintain current certification throughout employment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a crisis setting, acute psychiatric setting, or healthcare setting, with a focus on assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention
  • Knowledge of DSM-V diagnostic criteria and ICD-10 coding, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration, communication, and problem-solving
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound clinical judgments
