We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Operations IT Solutions Developer to join our team at Publix Super Markets, Inc. Key Responsibilities- Designing, developing, testing, documenting, optimizing, and implementing new solutions or improving existing ones
- Supporting Industrial Operations IT solutions and defining, developing, maintaining, and advising on the effective use of Publix IT architecture to meet operational needs
- Developing IT technical skills of less experienced team members and creating training materials for operations associates on operating procedures for new and existing IT systems
- Staying up-to-date with business and technical knowledge for training purposes and providing excellent customer service
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an analytical discipline or equivalent experience
- Two years of IT support experience and one year of experience developing software on various platforms
- Strong knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC), programming concepts, and principles, as well as Project Management best practices
- Very strong knowledge of database design principles, database administration, database connectivity, SQL Server Integration Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Open Database Connectivity (ODBC)
- Strong knowledge of relevant industrial technology systems, IT technologies, and trends
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, leadership, facilitation, interpersonal, decision-making, organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret code, develop applications using the SDLC methodology, train users, work independently, multitask, and be a self-starter
- Two years of Publix IT support experience and one year of experience developing software on various platforms, including Microsoft Access and Visual Basic for Applications
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, A+, etc.
- Very strong knowledge of Publix Information Technology policies and processes, Publix Industrial Operations operational processes, and Publix data sources
