Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Merryweather Foam. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting complex machinery to ensure seamless production processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintains, tests, and repairs CNC operational equipment, including CNC systems, production test and assembly equipment, electrical/electronic systems, and facility/building systems.
  • Able to maintain, test, and repair non-CNC production machines and presses.
  • Performs advanced pneumatic/hydraulic repair, electrical/electronic component replacements, and elementary wiring.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school graduate or equivalent degree; vocational training or technical trade school preferred.
  • Strong mechanical abilities and proficiency in calculating figures and dimensions.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and find solutions quickly and efficiently.
