Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced maintenance mechanic to lead our maintenance team at Merryweather Foam. As a master technician, you will be responsible for ensuring our equipment is running smoothly and efficiently. Your technical expertise and leadership skills will be essential in maintaining our production schedule and meeting our quality standards.


This role requires someone who is passionate about mechanical work, has excellent problem-solving skills, and can motivate and guide a team of technicians. If you are a hands-on individual who takes pride in your work and is eager to make a difference, we encourage you to apply.


Responsibilities:



  • Leading by example: This role involves working closely with the maintenance team, setting the tone, and leading the charge in maintaining our equipment and facilities.
  • Mentor and manage a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Diagnose and repair complex machinery issues using your technical expertise and knowledge of CNC and non-CNC equipment.
  • Ensure our inventory is well-organized and maintained, and collaborate with vendors to enhance our equipment and software.
  • Prioritize safety and adhere to industry standards, working closely with our team to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will need:



  • A high school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational or technical training is a plus.
  • Exceptional mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex problems.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a proven track record of motivating and guiding a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
  • Familiarity with CNC and non-CNC equipment, as well as inventory management systems.
