Nurse Manager for Neonatal Intensive Care

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Manager to lead our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Montefiore's standards of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Participate in performance improvement and research activities to enhance patient outcomes and unit efficiency.
- Recruit, train, and develop nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- New York State Registered Professional Nurse License and current registration.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Master of Science degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- American Nurses Credentialing Center Certification in Specialty Area desired.
- Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
- Effective English communication skills: written, oral, and interpersonal.
- Clinical experience 2+ years, in related area.
