Job Summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) team. As a MICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to a culture of excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence and safety by participating in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advances in critical care nursing.
Requirements
  • New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N.
  • Basic Life Support Training
  • Infection Control Training
  • Certification in specialty preferred
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems
  • 1 year of Med Surg experience required
  • Associates in Nursing Required
