The Diocese of La Crosse is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the System President of Pacelli Catholic Schools. As the chief articulator of the system's Catholic philosophy and mission, the ideal candidate will possess a strong spirit of collaboration, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a proven track record in administrative leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Catholic Identity: Promote the building of a community of faith among the administrative team, maintain religious certification according to diocesan policies, and keep current with Church teachings.
- Finances: Oversee the general maintenance and long-term security of the property, including major improvements, and direct the financial and fund-raising operations of the schools.
- Development: Supervise the development and alumni offices, direct the annual fund-raising drives, and make contact for major gifts.
- Public Relations and Marketing: Oversee the public relations and marketing programs of the schools, act as liaison between the schools and various stakeholders, and oversee and be ultimately responsible for the recruitment of students.
- Personnel: Supervise and evaluate central office staff, hire all central office staff, principals, teachers, and other staff, and monitor staff compliance with the USCCB Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People.
- Long-Range Planning: Direct all long-range planning which pertains to general system-wide questions as well as finances and plant development/utilization.
- Building Management: Arrange for the regular maintenance of the buildings within the system, determine custodial care for the system, and approve the use or rental of the buildings by persons or organizations outside the system.
- Reports: Be responsible for any federal, state, local, or diocesan reports made on the system, receive recommendations and give final approval to hiring of principals, and plan and conduct regularly-scheduled administrative meetings.
- Approved by the dean, the Superintendent of Catholic Schools, and the diocesan bishop.
- Demonstrated commitment to Catholic schools.
- Minimum of a master's degree in educational administration.
- Working knowledge of current Church documents related to Catholic schools.
- Minimum five years' experience as a Catholic school principal.
- Certified or certifiable in administration by the State of Wisconsin.
- Proven ability in school management.
