Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Use Disorder Counselor II to join our team at Madera County, CA. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services department, you will provide assessments, treatment planning, and comprehensive counseling services to clients with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for clients with substance use disorders
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to clients
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal client assessment and treatment options
  • Participate in diagnostic and evaluative staff meetings for cooperative planning and treatment
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of client progress and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as counseling or psychology
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience providing substance use counseling and treatment services
  • Valid Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor certification issued by a California Department of Health Care Services approved certification program
