We are seeking a compassionate and experienced individual to join our team as a Homemaker/Companion. This role involves providing companionship and homemaker services to our clients, assisting with daily living tasks, and promoting their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities- Companionship and Social Interaction: Engage with clients in conversations, read to them, accompany them on walks, and participate in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Housekeeping and Meal Preparation: Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment by performing light housekeeping tasks, including changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, and laundry. Plan and prepare meals according to the client's dietary requirements.
- Errands and Transportation: Assist clients with grocery shopping, accompany them to doctors' appointments, and provide transportation to and from appointments.
- Communication and Reporting: Maintain open communication with the client, their family members, and our care team. Accurately report any changes in the client's condition to the RN Supervisor.
- Experience: A minimum of one year of work experience in a related field, verifiable through references.
- Physical Ability: Must be physically able to perform the duties of the role.
- Behavior and Confidentiality: Exhibit mature, responsible behavior and understand the need for patient confidentiality.
- Language and Communication: Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English.
- Transportation: Must have available reliable transportation to and from assignments.
