PALLIATIVE CARE REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
Full Time, Day Shifts
Role Responsibilities:
- Utilize a comprehensive understanding of nursing principles and practices.
- Ensure accurate care documentation that complies with reimbursement standards.
- Collaborate on the physical care of patients alongside families, physicians, and the Hospice team.
- Engage in effective communication with patients and families at all levels.
- Maintain open lines of communication with all agency staff.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality assurance reviews as scheduled.
Qualifications:
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice, with successful completion of an accredited nursing program and a minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, including at least one year in hospice care preferred.
- Familiarity with the structure, function, and organization of home health and hospice care programs, along with the nurse's role within the patient care team.
- Proficient understanding of nursing principles and practices in accordance with nursing regulations, agency policies, and reimbursement criteria.
- Commitment to 12 hours of continuing education each year.
- Current CPR certification.
- Willingness to travel as needed by the agency, including availability for weekend, evening, and holiday on-call duties.
