We are in search of a skilled Immigration Lawyer who can deliver exceptional legal assistance to our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with our managing attorney and team members to ensure positive outcomes for our clients.

Compensation:

$100,000 - $135,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct client consultations, coordinate meetings with legal assistants and support staff, and offer guidance on optimal legal strategies.
  • Oversee legal assistants and manage administrative staff related to client cases.
  • Develop strategies and guide clients in gathering necessary information and documentation to strengthen their cases.
  • Investigate complex immigration matters, apply thorough analysis, and create innovative solutions for clients' situations.
  • Handle defensive and affirmative asylum applications, U visas, T visas, VAWA, waivers, and similar issues.
  • Prepare for and/or attend immigration court hearings, including Master Calendar hearings, Individual hearings, and motions to reopen.
  • Draft, review, and prepare briefs, motions, and other legal documents, including conducting legal research.
  • Provide clients with regular updates on their cases.
  • Lead and conduct weekly meetings with support staff.
  • Manage a substantial caseload effectively.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law institution.
  • A minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in removal proceedings, humanitarian, and family-based immigration as a licensed attorney.
  • Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Lexis).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong research capabilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own caseload while collaborating with support staff.
  • Outstanding English grammar and writing skills are essential.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for this role.
  • Able to work independently, manage pressure, and meet deadlines while handling multiple cases.
  • Client-focused approach.
  • Must be in good standing to practice law.
  • References from previous employers are required.
