Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at King County. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to individuals in a correctional facility setting. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and a passion for working with vulnerable populations.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including assessing patient history, mental status, and risk factors.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring coordination of services and oversight of referrals.
- Prescribe and dispense medications, as well as provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide holistic care and address complex patient needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies.
- Washington State license as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with prescriptive authority.
- Completion of advanced practitioner training and board certification as a nurse practitioner within the specialty practice.
- National Provider Identification (NPI) number and DEA registration.
- Current BLS CPR certification with AED training.
- Minimum of 2 years prescribing experience.
