About the Role

The Housekeeping Supervisor is a key member of the Ocean Casino Resort team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and guide a team of housekeeping staff to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and Maintain Standards: Ensure that all guest rooms, public areas, and storage spaces meet the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Supervise Housekeeping Staff: Assign tasks, provide guidance, and evaluate the performance of housekeeping staff to ensure they are meeting expectations.
  • Coordinate Training and Development: Work with the Housekeeping Managers to develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of housekeeping staff.
  • Manage Scheduling and Staffing: Ensure that the Housekeeping Department is adequately staffed to meet the needs of the resort, while also managing overtime and payroll expenses.
  • Ensure Guest Satisfaction: Respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that all guests have a positive experience at Ocean Casino Resort.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Protect the confidentiality of Ocean Casino Resort proprietary information at all times.
Essential Functions
  • Exposure to Casino Environment: Work in a fast-paced casino environment, exposed to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for long periods, move throughout the resort, and lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility: Work holidays, weekends, and flexible shift hours as needed.
Requirements
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve high standards.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of five years' experience in hospitality, preferably in a supervisory role.
