About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Product Manager to join our Rental Team at Zillow. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for helping renters evaluate properties and move them down the funnel to a contact.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, with experience working directly with engineering teams to build consumer products. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing a cross-team product strategy that aligns multiple efforts with our shared goals, resulting in cohesive, well-integrated user experiences.
  • Leading the product from concept to design, specification, implementation, and analysis.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally across the organization to prioritize and execute the most impactful work against the company's key initiatives.
  • Measuring success/failure in product changes, estimating impact, and making a real difference.
  • Ensuring that the teams you work with feel confident, informed, and efficient.
  • Innovating via fail-fast: test, learn, and integrate.
  • Translating customer feedback and business goals into a clear execution roadmap.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position, and you will have the flexibility to work from a physical location of your choice.

In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance, and location.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience working directly with engineering teams to build consumer products.
  • Hands-on entrepreneurial attitude to go above and beyond.
  • Strong project management skills to keep projects on track and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Customer-focused, with a strong desire to understand the customer and find ways to empower them.
  • A collaborative working style, with a flexible approach to generating quick wins.
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative data, balanced with product intuition, to create a compelling product vision and to drive product decisions.
  • Ability to manage large projects and a more flexible and creative approach to generating quick wins.
  • Experience defining projects, driving requirements, writing functional specs, and coordinating projects across teams and organizations.
  • Strong written and oral interpersonal skills.
  • MBA degree preferred.
