Job Summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a highly skilled Airport Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our airport facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Management: Understand the airport's layout and constraints to provide excellent customer service and ensure the safety of employees and customers.
  • Gate Management: Effectively plan and communicate gate changes to minimize fuel consumption and ensure timely departures.
  • Crew Management: Examine crew connections, plan for weather delays, and monitor compression to optimize operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly forecast and react to problems that may arise, adjusting the parking plan as needed.
  • International Operations: Monitor international arrivals and departures to ensure seamless operations.
  • Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and training to new employees to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • HR and Administration: Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as performing performance evaluations and addressing disciplinary issues.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with other departments and internal customers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Leadership: Direct others and provide clear instructions to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Reporting and Administration: Complete shift reports, sign timecards, and review operation department time cards to ensure accuracy.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Prepare disciplinary incident and termination reports as needed.
  • Baggage Handling: Assist in the baggage handling area to ensure efficient baggage processing.
  • Shift Briefings: Conduct shift briefings to ensure staff is organized and informed.
  • Operational Information: Organize and disseminate accurate operational information to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Background Check: Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Language Skills: Ability to proficiently read, write, and speak English.
  • Physical Demands: Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively and working in all weather conditions.
  • Availability: Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or six months experience as an Operations Agent.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced computer skills and ability to learn quickly.
