Job Overview

The Assistant Manager - AO Customer Service is a key role within United Airlines, responsible for the day-to-day operational management and oversight of Customer Service activities for the Hub station. This includes safety, performance, customer service, employee enablement, and the development and sustainment of a Core4 culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the achievement of station operational objectives, goals, and metrics.
  • Promote positive employee and labor relations through ongoing engagement and effective communications.
  • Support the achievement of cost and revenue goals through personnel management, baggage fee enforcement, and ground aircraft fuel burn reduction.
  • Manage station safety and security programs to achieve the highest levels of compliance with safety and security standards and regulations.
  • Lead and directly manage a team of Supervisors, responsible for performance management, leadership development, and growth.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2-4 years leadership experience in an airport operations environment.
  • 1-2 years line station or Hub operational experience (above and below the wing).
  • Previous experience managing in a union environment.
  • Ability to work weekends and shift work.
  • Travel is required.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College Degree or related field experience in an airline operational environment.
  • Project Management Experience.
