Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Educational Assistant. This role will provide support to students with special needs, assisting with daily living activities, behavior support, and educational programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual assistance and behavior support to students, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Assist in implementing educational programs, including structured activities and data collection.
  • Participate in pool activities, providing opportunities for students to engage in individual pool time.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavior support plans, including observation, data collection, and direct intervention.
  • Load and unload students onto and off of buses, ensuring their safe transportation.
  • Assure that safety and health standards are met for employees and individuals eligible for services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Maintains required certification from DODD/ODE, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
  • Remains current on and able to implement board-approved behavior support techniques.
  • Ability to accurately, efficiently, and effectively use technology to assist students with communication and complete required training and certification processes.
  • Must be physically capable to lift up to 50 pounds and move students in a safe manner.
  • Must be able to tolerate up to one hour in a therapy pool with temperatures of 92o - 94oF (doctor's release required).
Working Conditions

This position may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, communicable disease, potentially infectious materials, and/or behavior exhibited by individuals that may cause physical harm to the employee or their personal property.
