Nurse - Substitute

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse - Substitute to join our team at Fairfield County, OH. As a Substitute Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to students in an educational setting, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to assess, develop, implement, evaluate, and modify individual education plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide general nursing care to students, including skilled nursing procedures, and maintain accurate records of medication administration.
- Screen for communicable and nuisance diseases, and provide consultation services to instructors, parents, and guardians on health and safety-related issues.
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to health and safety issues, and maintain a cooperative relationship with coworkers and families to facilitate individual education plans.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including training staff, monitoring and delegating administration of medication and nursing tasks, and participating in staff training programs.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Valid Ohio driver's license and a driving record acceptable to our agency's insurance carrier
- Ability to accurately, efficiently, and effectively use technology to assist students with communication and complete required training and certification processes
- Successfully pass a BCII background check and drug screening check
- Experience in the developmental disabilities field preferred
- Must be physically capable to lift up to 50 pounds and carry or move students in a safe manner
