The Role: The D&B Hoovers QA team is in search of a Senior QA Engineer to ensure the delivery of innovative features with utmost quality. This role involves owning new feature testing, developing UI and API test automation, maintaining existing test suites, and employing innovative problem-solving techniques. The ideal candidate is naturally inquisitive, persistent, detail-oriented, and committed to high standards. A proven history of delivering features with full accountability and a collaborative spirit to share knowledge is essential. Key Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughly understand new features within your scrum team to design and implement comprehensive test plans.
  • Create automated tests for both new and existing features, while maintaining current test suites.
  • Collaborate with team members to find solutions, share insights, and enhance development practices.
  • Become a subject matter expert in a key area of the Hoovers application.
  • Provide support during biweekly product deployments.
  • Assist the Technical Support team in troubleshooting complex customer issues.
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in testing web applications.
  • At least five years of experience in writing test automation using scripting languages such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Testim, Playwright, Cypress, or similar tools.
  • General knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience in writing behavior-driven automation, such as Cucumber.
  • Proficiency in exercising APIs using tools like Postman, Bruno, cURL, RestClient, or equivalents.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, demonstrating sound judgment in decision-making and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience with a POM/object-oriented architecture using Ruby/Watir.
  • Experience in creating tests and custom code in Testim.
  • Familiarity with TestRail.
  • Knowledge of CRMs such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics.
