Job Overview

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of Production Operators in a cGMP environment. This role ensures that production schedules are met on time, and products are manufactured to specification and in accordance with SOP's, cGMP's, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train Production Operators in proper operating techniques and procedures
  • Develop and compile reports on scheduling, production goals, equipment maintenance, and other studies as requested
  • Contribute to the development of production schedules and coordinate with other departments to achieve required deadlines
  • Develop and implement training programs for department employees, promoting employee morale and motivation
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, cGMP's, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices
  • Monitor and control production schedules and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives and budgets
  • Supervise, coordinate, and control production and operating activities to ensure optimum utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment
  • Conduct regular reviews and follow-ups on projects to ensure completion of assigned work
  • Evaluate the performance and production of staff, maintaining records on performance
  • Ensure adequate resources are available for manufacturing, including equipment, supplies, and labor
  • Investigate and document corrections/modifications effectively and in a timely manner
Requirements
  • High School education or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience in a cGMP Production environment
  • Experience working in aseptic or lyophilization production preferred
  • 3+ years' experience leading teams, either formally or informally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills
