Field Service Engineer Overview

As a Field Service Engineer within Carrier's Automated Logic division, you will be instrumental in the deployment and management of advanced building automation systems tailored for diverse clientele. Your role encompasses the installation, diagnostics, and enhancement of systems that leverage cutting-edge Direct Digital Control technology. Additionally, you will act as the primary technical liaison and a field authority, delivering effective resolutions for intricate system challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the installation, troubleshooting, and optimization of client systems
  • Function as the local technical expert and field leader
  • Deliver solutions for complex system challenges
  • Guarantee the optimal performance of systems
  • Provide comprehensive project delivery
  • Load software and configure trends, alarms, and reports
  • Implement effective time management strategies
  • Communicate project progress to clients
  • Conduct training sessions for system owners/operators

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a related technical field
  • Physical capability to climb ladders and lift equipment
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in HVAC service
  • Degree in HVAC, Controls, or a similar discipline
  • Familiarity with building automation software and control systems
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networks and wireless technologies
  • Effective communication of technical information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
