Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise the classroom, maintaining a ratio of four infants per educator.

2. Develop a classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and is tailored to the developmental stages of the infants.

3. Implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate curiosity and exploration.

4. Provide comfort to infants in distress through gentle interaction, including holding and singing.

5. Prepare and serve nourishment as provided by families, ensuring dietary needs are met.

6. Attend to the hygiene needs of each infant, including regular diaper changes and maintaining cleanliness of clothing and bedding.

7. Utilize Brightwheel for check-ins, scheduling, and communication with families regarding supplies and needs.

8. Keep accurate records for each infant in your care.

9. Uphold safety standards as per organizational and state guidelines.

10. Ensure infants are appropriately dressed and secured for outdoor activities.

11. Maintain a tidy classroom environment throughout the day and conduct thorough cleaning at day's end.

12. Collaborate effectively with the lead educator and team members, sharing important information regularly.

13. Build positive relationships with families, encouraging their involvement in the educational process.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in both written and verbal communication in Spanish.
  • High school diploma or GED required; some college or a Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with young children.
  • Hands-on learning experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with multicultural educational approaches.
  • Ability to create an engaging and stimulating learning environment.
