At Health eCareers, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective patient care.
Job SummaryThe Lead Registered Nurse will coordinate activities of the interdisciplinary team and monitor departmental throughput to ensure efficient care delivery. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to make sound decisions and work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate day-to-day patient care activities and act as a resource for the healthcare team.
- Manage multiple scheduling tasks and assignments, ensuring timely and effective care delivery.
- Evaluate emergency situations and lead the nursing response to clinical emergencies.
- Conduct daily equipment checks and ensure quality controls are completed.
- Continuous rounding within the department to ensure patient throughput and flow.
- Ensure clear communication with the healthcare team, providers, and management team.
- Respond to inquiries from patients, providers, and internal/external customers.
- Participate in departmental Quality Assurance activities and support compliance with regulatory procedures and standards.
- Serve as a preceptor, resource, and mentor for new members of the healthcare team and nursing students.
- Minimum two (2) years of current RN clinical experience.
- Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in area of specialty.
- Associates degree in nursing.
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Registered Professional Nurse License (Georgia) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support required at hire from American Heart Association.
- Specialty Certification at time of hire or within 1 (one) year.
- Bachelors (BSN) degree.
