About the Position

Columbia Sportswear is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at our PDX Airport Location. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by responding to consumer questions or issues regarding product features, benefits, and availability; engage with consumers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Visual Merchandising: Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Cash Handling: Perform all required cash register transactions efficiently and accurately.
  • Inventory Management: Contribute to store profitability by receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing incoming and outgoing product flow in the stores accurately and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
  • Experience: 2 (or less) years of experience in a retail or sales-related position
  • Skillset: Skill operating a Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone
Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Frequently in a more active environment that can be physical or strenuous in nature (frequently adjusting/moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.)
  • Availability: Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, which may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts
