Job Summary:

The Patient Appointment Specialist is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, conducting insurance verifications, and handling referrals. This entry-level position is an excellent opportunity to gain industry knowledge and training.

This role is the first point of contact for our patients, requiring exceptional customer service skills and a courteous demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients via phone.
  • Answer phones and ensure prompt, courteous service at all times.
  • Practice urgency in scheduling appointments and conducting insurance verifications.
  • Conduct insurance verifications and knowledge of common fees charged for visits.
Requirements:
  • Desire to gain industry knowledge and training.
  • Demonstrates initiative in accomplishing practice goals.
  • Ability to grow, adapt, and accept change.
  • Consistently creating a positive work environment by being team-oriented and patient-focused.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in a medical office or facility setting (required).
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and answering phones.
