About the Role

We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Team Lead to join our team at Gibraltar Industries. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for training, validating processes, and empowering employees to reach their fullest potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine priority/sequence of shipments based on production schedule and customer demand.
  • Provide directions to crew on completion of daily tasks, including shipment of product and creation of tracking number and invoices.
  • Communicate and apply safety and security procedures, and encourage a culture of reporting potentially unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Communicate cross-functionally with Production, Warehouse, and Shipping departments to ensure alignment of our customer-driven strategy and direction.
  • Identify, administer, and lead problem-solving process improvements in respective areas of the business.
  • Continuously strive to drive, improve, and monitor company-wide KPIs: safety (6s), people, quality, cost of production, delivery/Inventory, continuous improvement, finance/cash, and commercial.
  • Ability to communicate the organization's vision, strategy, and values.
  • Lead training of new hires and support ongoing training for team members by following our validation process of train, show, do, and review.
  • Ensure team members are completing standard work safely and accurately in alignment with KPIs.
  • Ensures employee and departmental compliance with all policies, procedures, values, and mission and reports non-compliance to supervisor for resolution.
  • Promotes employee conduct that is free from any form of harassment/discrimination (sexual, racial, religious, gender, etc.).
  • Role model for safety, attendance, and performance.
  • General knowledge of basic computer skills, including Excel, Word, email, PowerPoint, and company ERP/HRIS systems.
  • Promotes company-provided programs, such as safety, recruiting, recognition, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • May be asked to run a machine when needed.
  • Has a strong curiosity to learn and develop in our business.
  • Sporadic travel may be required.
Requirements
  • High school education with two years of related leadership experience or relevant training.
  • Must have a commitment to continuous personal and professional development, which may include offsite training/travel.
  • Ability to add, subtract, count in simple units of measurement, and/or whole numbers.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak basic English and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and write simple lists.
  • Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with interpersonal conflict.
  • May be required to obtain a Forklift License to facilitate production requirements.
  • Ability to learn, teach, and execute visual safety work instructions and procedures, such as lockout/tagout, and other OSHA-related requirements.
