Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Southland Holdings LLC is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Orlando, FL.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze and repair heavy construction equipment, including crawler and hydraulic cranes, pile driving and earth moving equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on mobile equipment safely.
- Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects.
- Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools.
- Perform welding and torch cutting tasks.
- Examine parts for damage and/or excessive wear.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure operating efficiently.
- Assist with assembly and disassembling of cranes.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all types of equipment.
- 1+ years of experience working on cranes, hydraulics, and general heavy equipment.
- Ability to lift 0 to 50 pounds occasionally for hand work.
- Physical ability to navigate rugged terrain.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a schedule of work.
- Availability to work overtime.
- Ability to stand, squat, stoop, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Welding certification.
- OSHA safety training and a current First Aid and CPR certificate.
