Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Control Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our construction equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent downtime
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, power train, and engine components
  • Excellent technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
Physical Demands

The Machine Control Technician II will be required to:

  • Constantly (6-8 hours/day): standing, walking, reaching, talking, and hearing
  • Frequently (3-6 hours/day): climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and pushing/pulling
  • Occasionally (up to 3 hours/day): lifting (up to 25 lbs., 26-50 lbs., or over 50 lbs.)
Environmental Conditions

The Machine Control Technician II will be exposed to:

  • Inside environmental conditions: protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change
  • Outside environmental conditions: no effective protection from weather
  • Extreme cold: temperatures below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour
  • Extreme heat: temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour
  • Noise: sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient noise level
