The Childcare Center Operations Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Center Director in managing the daily functions of a childcare establishment. This position ensures compliance with state and local regulations, licensing standards, and company policies to deliver an exceptional experience for staff, children, and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative assistance to the leadership team, facilitating smooth operations.
- Foster effective communication with parents and collaborate with center staff on everyday activities.
- Maintain organized records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Build and sustain trustworthy relationships with the Center Director and Assistant Director.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Word and other relevant software.
- Adapt to a dynamic work environment while showing appreciation and inclusion towards staff.
- Possess knowledge of various roles within the childcare program.
- Exhibit a proactive, team-oriented approach to enhance team dynamics.
- Communicate professionally and tactfully with parents and team members.
- Create a positive, productive atmosphere for employees, parents, and children.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a childcare setting.
- Edu 119 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Experience in administration is advantageous.
- Pediatric CPR certification is required within the first 3 months of employment.
- Health assessment must be completed prior to employment and kept current as per state regulations.
- Must meet all state requirements regarding background checks and clearances.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Ability to lift over forty (40) lbs is necessary.
- Must pass state and federal background checks.
