Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Clinical Engineering to join our team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall supervision of all biomedical technicians, managing preventive maintenance and repairs activities of the department, and ensuring the maintenance of the workshops of the department.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coach clinical engineering staff on an ongoing basis, ensuring that work is completed properly and efficiently.
- Verify reported equipment problems and make determinations on how best to resolve them, including calling in outside service providers as needed.
- Participate in and/or assist with development of departmental and hospital-based continuous quality improvement initiatives, analyzing and implementing process flow improvements to maintain and improve process efficiency and quality of service.
- Act as a technical resource to staff for repair and maintenance activities on selected equipment and related systems, ensuring that all significant regulatory and accreditation issues related to equipment maintenance are observed.
- Supervise and participate in building and facilities maintenance and repair, performing a variety of field maintenance tasks as needed.
- Oversee preventive maintenance on equipment, ensuring that all necessary resources are available to staff members to perform maintenance and repair of medical equipment and systems as assigned.
- Audit work completed by in-house staff and take corrective actions where necessary, attending routine and special meetings as assigned to include the Safety Committee and New Equipment Acquisition Committee if applicable.
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering.
- 7 years progressive experience in a hospital setting.
- Certification as a CBET from International Certification Commission.
