Position Summary:

The Vice President of Operations is tasked with steering strategic initiatives and decisions that align with the organization’s most critical projects. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is pivotal in identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining a clear view of market dynamics and the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a centralized process repository, refining workflows to reduce complexity and promote operational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate organizational planning and synchronize business rhythms with various departments to establish quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs), resource allocations, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Analyze data to develop insights, formulate strategies, and translate recommendations into actionable results.
  • Lead initiatives to address the organization’s most pressing strategic challenges, supporting operational teams in implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues and generate critical insights.
  • Design, assess, and implement business strategies for operational departments.
  • Manage budgets, staffing plans, and employee development across various roles.
  • Provide expertise in operations management within the financial media sector.
  • Adapt to shifting priorities and demonstrate flexibility in response to evolving business needs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while promoting a culture of safety and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in operations and management.
  • Proven ability to lead large teams through periods of change.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on fostering diversity and inclusion.
  • Experience in implementing technologies to enhance operational efficiency.

Work Environment:

The role may involve occasional travel and requires a valid driver's license. The work environment is dynamic, and candidates should be prepared to engage in a variety of tasks that support the organization's operational goals.
